About the Role:

As we evolve our structure to better serve our vulnerable and elderly clients, we are looking for an accomplished Field Sales Manager to drive sales strategy and execution for Careium’s products and services. You will identify new business opportunities, build, and strengthen customer relationships, and work closely with commissioners to develop propositions that align with the proactive and preventative agenda. Your efforts will ensure that sales targets are exceeded while supporting the company’s broader strategic goals. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies and field sales plans for Careium’s products and services, ensuring they align with company goals.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, recommending field sales and marketing actions to promote proactive and preventative care solutions.
  • Target Achievement: Take responsibility for meeting and exceeding sales and commercial targets through effective client engagement in the field.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture key customer relationships through regular engagement, including formal and informal meetings, trade exhibitions, business events, and field visits.
  • Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to create customer propositions that align with commissioners’ needs and support proactive and preventative care agendas.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Oversee product, marketing, financial, legal, supply chain, and post-sales activities to ensure seamless customer service and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Sales Planning: Develop and deliver targeted sales plans and proposals that address clients’ evolving needs, including formal business proposals and presentations.
  • Reporting and Insights: Provide comprehensive account reports and reviews to senior leadership, offering insights into market trends, customer feedback, and sales performance.
  • Account Leadership: Occasionally lead additional accounts to ensure continuity and growth across the portfolio.
  • Product Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management and R&D to ensure customer needs are integrated into product solutions, facilitating smooth implementation.
  • Quotation and Proposal Development: Create customer quotations, proposals, and cooperative business plans that drive innovative solutions and new business models.
  • Sales Action Plans: Lead the development of sales action plans to capitalize on new opportunities and strengthen Careium’s market position.

 Other Requirements:

  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly within the region and across the UK to maintain and expand client relationships, as well as to participate in team-building events and workshops.
  • Driving Licence: Possession of a full UK driving licence.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Senior Field Sales Leadership: Extensive experience in a senior field sales leadership role, preferably within the healthcare or technology-enabled care sectors.
  • Sales Strategy Success: Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies that achieve and surpass commercial targets.
  • Commissioner Engagement: Significant experience working with commissioners, with a strong understanding of proactive and preventative care solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders, including senior-level contacts.
  • Multi-Functional Oversight: Experience managing multiple functions within an account, such as marketing, finance, product, legal, and supply chain, ensuring comprehensive service delivery.
  • Proposal Development: Background in creating and effectively presenting business proposals to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Communication: Superior communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex propositions clearly and persuasively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adjust strategies to meet evolving business and customer needs.
  • Collaboration: Effective team player, working seamlessly across departments such as Product Management, R&D, and Operations to ensure customer needs are met.
